Taking another crucial step to provide financial assistance to the BPL families, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the ‘YSR Bheema’ scheme, which will benefit 1.41 crore families by providing insurance cover.

Summary: The YS Jaganmohan Reddy government, which has made a name for itself as a people’s government with a large number of welfare schemes, has taken another crucial step. YSR has launched an insurance scheme to help poor families.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched YSR Bima scheme on Wednesday. The scheme will benefit 1.14 crore, primary bread earners, in the unorganized sector. The claiming amount would be directly credited into the beneficiary bank account within 15 days of the claim being made. The Chief Minister also announced that immediate assistance of Rs 10,000 will be provided to the families through village and ward secretariats.

YSR Bheema Pathakam Online Registration Process

Lack of financial security of the BPL families in case of the bread earners, working in the unorganised sector, losing his/her life is a nightmare for these families.

Procedure to Apply Online YSR Bheema Scheme Application Form 2023

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of YSR Bheema Scheme i.e. bima.ap.gov.in.

Step 2- On the Homepage, Click on the Option “Apply Online” button.

Step 3- The application Form page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4- Now enter the required details (Mention all the details such as name, father/ husband name, date of birth, gender and other information) and upload documents.

Step 5- Click on Submit Button for the final submission of the application.

The claim amount will be directly credited into the beneficiary bank account within 15 days from the date of the claim.

YSR Bheema Scheme Beneficiaries Details

Volunteers will conduct door-to-door surveys for the selection process of the beneficiaries of the AP Bheema Scheme and check the scheme of white ration cardholders. It will be overseen by the Secretary of Welfare within the Secretariat. Selected beneficiaries will have to open a bank account including the nominee. Beneficiaries will have to pay a premium amount of Rs 15 per year.

YSR Bheema Scheme 2023: Online Application Form PDF Download – All India statistics indicate that Andhra Pradesh is one of the States with a large number of accidents. The death or disability due to the accident of an unorganized worker results in misery to his family and hardship caused by reduced earnings and medical and other expenditures relating to the accident. Terming the loss of a breadwinner as the worst nightmare for any family, the Chief Minister said that the State government shall stand by such families in the hard times by providing financial assistance through insurance cover. Under this scheme, insurance amount for accidental death and total permanent disability for people aged between 18-50 years is ₹5 lakh and for those between 51-70 years ₹3 lakh. Similarly, for natural death cases (18-50 years) ₹2 lakh and for partial permanent disability in an accident case (18-70 years) ₹1.5 lakh assistance will be provided. The enrolment of unorganized workers was taken up by Praja Sadhikaara Survey-2016 (Pulse Survey) by the Government in Revenue Department. 2.08 crore unorganized workers enrolled through Praja Sadhikaara Survey have been covered under 1 st year scheme. In 2017 Praja Sadhikaara Survey has been conduct in October to cover the left over eligible unorganized workers and in the 2 nd year under PMJJBY/PMSBY/State Insurance Scheme 2.46 crore unorganized workers are covered.

Insurance Coverage Under YSR Bheema Scheme

• First From 18 to 50 years- Insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh for accidental death and total permanent disability
• Second From 51 to 70 years-  Insurance coverage of Rs 3 lakh for accidental death and total permanent disability
• Third From 18 to 50 years- Insurance coverage of Rs 2 lakh in case of natural death
• Fourth From 18 to 70 years – Insurance coverage of Rs 1.5 lakh in case of partial permanent disability due to an accident

Note: It is to be noted that the claim amount will be deposited into the nominee’s bank account within 15 days of the claim

Objectives of YSR Bheema Scheme 2023

SCHEME OBJECTIVE

The main object of the scheme is to provide relief to the families of unorganized workers in case of death or disability of the unorganized worker leaving the families in great distress. This scheme is for workers and labourers of the Andhra Pradesh state. Through the scheme, in the form of a sum assured, the financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakhs will be provided to the dependents of the deceased in case of an accident.

Rs. 5 lakh for Accident Death and Total Disability: Rs. 2,25,000/- (Rupees two lakh twenty-five thousand) from State Accident Death and Disability Scheme, Rs.75,000/- (Rupees seventy-five thousand) under Aam Admi Bima Yojana (AABY) and Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakh) from Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY). Up to Rs.3,62,500/- for Partial Disability: Up to Rs.2,25,000/- (Rupees two lakh twenty five thousand) from State Accident Death and Disability Scheme, Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh) from PMSBY and Rs.37,500 from AABY. Rs.30,000/- for Natural Death under Aam Admi Bima Yojana (AABY). Rs.1200/- p.a. towards scholarship per child up to two children of the beneficiary studying 9th, 10th, Intermediate or ITI. The claim amount will be given within 15 days of the filing of the claim The claim amount will directly deposit into the bank account through direct bank transfer method

The scheme will benefit 1.41 crore families by providing insurance cover. The State government will be paying ₹510 crore every year as a premium for the scheme. All the families with white ration cards are eligible for this scheme The village/ward volunteers shall visit the families and enroll the names of the primary householders. The list of the enrolled insurance holders will be displayed in the village secretariats. In addition to this, immediate assistance of ₹10,000 will be provided to the families, according to a release. Coverage of 2.50 crore unorganized workers. The convergence of Central Schemes, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyothi Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Aam Admi Bima Yojana. Scheme Benefits: Rs.2 lakh for 18-50 years and Rs.30,000/- for 51-60 years towards natural death, Rs.5 lakh for accident death and total disability and Rs.2.50 lakh for partial disability for 18-70 years. Scholarship Rs.1,200/- for children (up to two children) studying 9th, 10th, Inter and ITI. Total online claim settlement process.
