Procedure to Apply Online West Bengal Marriage Registration Application Form

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of the Law Department Register General of Marriages, Government of West Bengal i.e. rgmwb.gov.in.

Step 2- On the Homepage, Click “Register your marriage” option which is available in the right-hand side in the mid of the page.

Step 3- From the opened page click “click here to apply online” and read the instructions then Click on the Proceed option.

Step 4- The application Form page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5- Select the act under which you wish to apply for the registration

Step 6.1- Now enter the required details (Mention all the details such as husband (Groom) such as name, father name, date of birth, registration, email, phone number, religion, nationality, Aadhar number and other information) and upload documents of the groom.

Step 6.2- Then go to the second part of the form which is details of the wife (bride) such as name, father name, date of birth, registration, email, phone number, religion, nationality, Aadhar number etc. and upload the documents of the bride

Step 6.3- Now go to the third part of the form detail of social marriage such as location of social marriage, date of social marriage and marriage invitation card

Step 6.4-Now go to the fourth part of the form detail of children (it is not a mandatory field you can skip this information if not have)

Step 1- Please visit the Marriage office and obtain an application form for registering your marriage.

Step 2- To find the marriage office please use the following Link: Marriage office site Once you reach this page please select “Search MO” under “Public Info” on the right side menu list.

Step 3- Please fill the form and it has to be duly signed by the couple. Please submit the form in the respective section officer along with the required documents. Make sure that you are eligible for applying.

Step 4- As advised, please make the payment for completing the process. The application will then be processed internally. The applicant will be notified to visit the SRO office to complete the process.

A marriage certificate provides social security, particularly to married women.
