The West Bengal government is planning to opt-out of the Centre’s ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ scheme due to “differences of opinion” with the central government, a state minister said. Under the scheme, beneficiaries can buy subsidized foodgrains from ration shops in any part of the country. The system ensures that no poor is deprived of PDS entitlement even if that person shifts from one place to another.

You can apply for Digital Ration Card by visiting the Food Department website www.wbpds.gov.in . But it will be unsubsidized. To apply, you need to go to the website and log in and fill up Form 10. Aadhaar card picture to be uploaded with. It is learned that the digital ration card will reach the applicant within 30 days of application.

Step 2- On Homepage, click on “Click here to apply” for Non- Subsidized Ration or Conversion to Non-Subsidized Ration Card

Step 3- Enter your 10 digit valid mobile number.

Step 4- Now, Click on the GET OTP option

Step 5- Then, Enter the OTP in blank box and Click on the VALIDATE tab to validate the number.

Step 6- Select your option.

Step 7- Now, Fill up the required details (Mention all the details such as name, father/ husband name, date of birth, gender and other information) and upload documents.

    In august heard from councillor’s office that again to apply.so applied again on18/08/20. Bar coad:16-801742-20-112175. Serial no102. Got nodigital card or coupon.May I know when I and my family members will get digital ration card.

    I submitted my online application for Non- subsidized Ration Card on 05.11.2019 as per Application Number 8017429433538387. In February,2020, I was informed that my application is accepted. But at the end of June,2020, I just received the Card, in the name of Tamal Krishna Maiti, i.e. the Head of the family, via Speed Post, by Indian Post consignment No.EW589766911IN dated 25.06.2020. But till date, no other Ration Card in the name of other beneficiaries,i.e. Rusi Maiti,Shrinika Maiti and Sefali Dutta have not received. Hence, I would request for earliest delivery of the Ration Card. In this connection, I would also inform that I am also a WB Govt. Employee under Forest Directorate. Thank You.

  25. I have applied for non subsidised ration card for my family members on 28/11/2019 but not yet received till the date.
    I checked the status for last one and half years and getting the answer “cards despatched for printing”.
    I dont know whether I shall get my family non subsidised ration cards or not.

  29. Applied for genaral category Non subsidised digital ration cards for self and two family members 0n 19.11.19 against three APL category cards nos 541045,541046 and 541047. Bar code no 17-801743-19-043026 (16)digits was given as receipt.
    Status as on 10/11/2020– card delivered to beneficiary..No messege received from any authorities. Tracked in post office and municipality office physically —NO RESULT. —-approched to DUARE SARKAR on 22Aug 21 at camp Maheshtala Boys School.. Awaiting for justice.
