. In 2014, the Ministry of Labor and Union Employment decided to design and develop this platform under the Unorganized Workers Social Security Act 2008. It is a unique number proposed to be issued as proof of identity to informal workers in India. It is a number that is provided to a large segment of the informal sector workers by issuing a unique identification and assigning an original Aadhaar identification number without issuing any smart cards.
The UWin Card Scheme has been implemented by the Labor & Employment Department, Government of Gujarat for unorganized sector such as farm laborers, hawkers, bedding workers. This card will help you to avail the benefits of various welfare schemes. And UWIN CSC is given to the workers with unique number as proof of identity.
SECC Data For UWIN Card
In the SECC 2011 database individual and family information which ranges from demographic details, income, employment, property files along with family links are captured. The database of UWIN will use the field from the SECC database along with the additional information which is provided by the unregulated agents during the registration and validation phase. UWIN will include the following data fields from SECC:-

UWIN Card Eligibility Criteria
Beneficiary Eligibility Guidelines:
- Applicant must be permanent resident of Gujarat
- The age of applicant should be between 18 to 60 years
- Applicant must belong to unorganised sector
- eligible worker must have worked as building and other construction worker for not less than 90 days in the last 12 months
Objectives of UWIN Card 2022
The main objective of the UWIN Card is to create a unified database of informal workers in order to provide them with social security services. With the implementation of the UWIN program identification of unorganised workers can be done.
Benefits And Features Of UWIN Card
- For the workers who belong to the informal sector, the government of Gujarat has launched a UWIN Card.
- The card helps the workers to take help of social security schemes such as ESIC and EPFO.
- The beneficiaries can register for it on eNirman app or using the portal.
- The unique number helps incorrect identification of a candidate who wish to register for the scheme.
- The government will maintain a database of candidates who belong to the informal sector.
- Under this scheme program, 47 crore beneficiaries would be benefitted.
- The state government has given a total of 402 crores for the successful implementation of the scheme.
- This project will be implemented in two phases.
UWIN Card Online Registration Process
The Gujarat State Ministry of Labor and Central Government start providing UWIN Card for the workers working in the informal sector. Every worker in the informal sector has been mandated to register themselves in this program.

Step 2- On the Homepage, you have to click on please register here/ Register Now Option
Step 3- The Registration page will be displayed on the screen.
Step 4- Now enter your full name, Aadhaar number, gender, birth date, mobile number, email ID, password, user type and captcha code code
Step 5- Now you have to click on the register
Step 6- Now you have to log in by entering your user ID and password and captcha code
Step 7- After that, you have to click on apply for UWIN card
