NTA UGC NET 2020 June Online Form

Short Info: National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued notification for the recruitment of UGC-NET for ‘Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor both’ in June 2020.

UGC NET 2020 Exam will be conducted by NTA in 81 subjects at selected Examination Centers spread across the country for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The University Grants Commission (UGC) has entrusted the responsibility of conducting UGC-NET to the NTA established by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI).

Registration

Step 1st : Visit the official website for UGC NET, ntanet.nic.in or click on the direct link provided above.

Step 2nd : Click on ‘fill online application form’ tab present at the bottom.

Step 3rd : Now, click on ‘new registration’ button.

Step 4th : Click on ‘proceed to apply online’ after reading the important instructions.

Step 5th : Enter the details asked in the registration page and click on the ‘submit’ button.

Application form

Step 6th : Now, proceed with UGC NET application form 2020. Enter the details asked in the application form – personal details, educational qualification. Hit the ‘submit’ button.

Uploading Images

Step 7th : Upload the images of photograph and signature as per specifications.

Payment of application fee

Step 8th : Last Step is to pay UGC NET online application fee. Take print of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future reference.

Necessary Documents to fill UGC NET 2020 Application Form
Candidates have to use the below given documents to fill in the application form of UGC NET 2020. The documents below are to be used for reference and some are to be uploaded in the application form.

Documents Required:

Before beginning the process of filling the form, please keep the following information ready with you:

  • Copy of Board/ University Certificate for Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name and Date of Birth
  • Type of Identification – Aadhaar Number, Bank A/c Number/ Passport Number/ Ration Card/ Other Government ID
  • Qualifying Degree Certificate or last semester marks sheet
  • Your Mailing Address as well as Permanent Address with Pin Code
  • Four cities for Centres of your choice
  • Code of NET Subject
  • Code of subject at Post Graduation level
  • Code of Post Graduation Course
  • Category Certificate
  • Person with Disability (PwD) Certificate
  • Your own e-mail address and Mobile Number

Photograph: 

  • The photograph should be recent and coloured or black/white (but clear contrast).
  • Photograph should not be with cap or goggles.
  • The candidate should scan his/her passport size photograph for uploading.
  • Candidates are advised to take 6 to 8 passport size coloured photographs with white background.

Note: Passport size photograph is to be used for uploading on Online Application Form and also for pasting on Attendance Sheet at the examination centre.

Signature:

  • The candidates are required to upload the full signature in running hand writing in the appropriate box given in the Online Application Form.
  • Writing full name in the Box in Capital letters would not be accepted as signature and the Application Form would be rejected.
  • The candidate should put his full signature on white paper with Black Ink pen and scan for uploading.

UGC NET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC.
Age Limit
For JRF Not more than 30 years as on 01-06-2020
For Asst Professor There is no upper age limit.

UGC NET 2020

What is UGC NET ?
On behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC), the National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor Both, in Indian Universities and Colleges.

The award of JRF and or Eligibility for Assistant Professor depends on the aggregrate performance of the candidate in Paper-I and paper-II of UGC-NET. The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professor are not to be considered for the award of JRF. Candidates who qualify the test for eligibility for Assistant Professor are governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments, as the case may be. UGC-NET is conducted twice a year. In June 2020, the examination is scheduled between 15 June and 20 June 2020.

National Eligibility Test (NET)
National Eligibility Test is conducted twice in a year for selection of deserving candidates for the posts of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian Govt. Universities and Colleges. NTA UGC NET exam is conducted in the month of June & December every year. As per a recent announcement by the HRD Ministry, the examination will now be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). In fact, UGC NET 2020 June session would be the third exam of the agency (NTA).
