Who can avail the scholarship?
The scholarship can be availed by Punjab government college students.
What is the scholarship amount?
The scheme shall be applicable only to the students studying in government colleges, scholarship amount shall be equal and limited to the concession in terms of percentage in fee being charged by the universities. Students obtaining marks over 60% but less than 70% will be given concession in university fee equivalent to 70%.
Likewise, students obtaining marks over 70% but less than 80% will be given concession of 80%. Students obtaining marks more than 80% but less than 90% will be given concession of 90% and students obtaining marks more than 90% but less than 100% will be given concession of 100%.

Punjab CM Scholarship Scheme will help bright students from financially poor backgrounds, particularly those belonging to the general category, besides boosting the gross enrolment ratio (GER) in higher education. Under the scheme, the state government would also provide free-of-cost education for those getting 90% marks.
Cannot be availed with another scholarship
- This scholarship scheme cannot be availed in tandem with another scholarship.
- In cases where students receive a scholarship from any other scheme of the state or central government but the concession under the new scheme is higher, only the difference amount between the two scholarships will be paid.

- 70% Concession- A Concession of 70% in fees will be provided to those students who has secured marks more than 60% but less than 70%
- 80% Concession- 80% concession will be provided to those students who have secured marks more than 70% but less than 80%
- 90% Concession- A concession of 90% will be provided to those students who have secured more than 80% marks but less than 90% marks

Punjab Mukhyamantri Scholarship Scheme Eligibility Criteria
Beneficiary Eligibility Guidelines:
- Applicant must be permanent resident of Punjab
- The scholarship can be availed by Punjab government college students.
