Summary: PM Narendra Modi had launched a scheme with the name of the PM Scholarship scheme for 12th passed students 2020. Pradhanmantri Scholarship Scheme Online Registration Process at ksb.gov.in

Candidates can now apply for Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme 2020 which was recently launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to encourage higher technical and professional education for the wards and widows of Ex/ Serving Army/Navy or Air Force personnel.

The Ministry will select several candidates out of all the applicants for this scheme, where 50 percent seats will be reserved for females.

Procedure to Apply Online PMSS  Pradhanmantri Scholarship Scheme Application Form 2020

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme of the Central Sainik Board i.e. desw.gov.in.

Step 2- On the Homepage, Click on the Option ” Register” button.

Step 3- After this, the Registration Form page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4- Now enter the required details (Mention all the details such as name, father name, date of birth, gender, Aadhaar and other information).

Step 5- Now fill the second part of the application form and check after carefully filling all the information.

Step 6- After filling all the information you have to click on the submit button.

Step 7- Then you will have to upload all your documents.

Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme 2020 Application Status

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme of the Central Sainik Board i.e. desw.gov.in.

Step 2- On the Homepage, Click on the Option ” Status Application” button.

Step 3- After this, the Application Status page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4- In this form, you have to enter the application form postal ID and verification code.

Step 5- After this, the application status will appear in front of you.

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of Central Military Board Secretariat i.e. desw.gov.in.

Step 2- On the Homepage, Click on the Option ” Post Grievance” Link.

Step 3- After this, the Post Grievance page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4- In this form, You have to fill all the information asked in this form.

Step 5- After this, you have to click on submit button.

Grievance tracking process

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of Central Military Board Secretariat i.e. desw.gov.in.

Step 2- On the Homepage, Click on the Option ” track Grievance” Link.

Step 3- After this, the Track Grievance page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4- In this form, you have to enter the number and verification code on this page.

Step 5- After that you have to click on the search button.

Step 5- Now, your grievance status will be on your computer screen.

Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme Eligibility Criteria

Beneficiary Guidelines
  • The applicant must be a resident of India.
  • Students who have taken admission in 1st year (except Lateral Entry & Integrated Course) are only eligible to apply for PMSS. Students must apply online on KSB web portal www.ksb.gov.in. Students should have scored 60% and above in Minimum Educational Qualification (MEQ) i.e. 10+2 / Diploma / Graduation.
  • Students studying in 2nd or subsequent years are not eligible (except for integrated courses – where 1st portion is academic and 2nd portion is integrated as professional course).
  • Students who are Dependent Wards / Widows of Ex Servicemen & Ex Coast Guard personnel.
  • Wards of Civilians including Para Military Personnel are NOT ELIGIBLE.

Priority for Grant of Scholarship

Order of preference for selection of candidates will be as under:-

  • Category 1 Wards & Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel killed in action.
  • Category 2 Wards of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel disabled in action and boarded out of service with disability attributable to Military / Coast Guard service.
  • Category 3 Wards & Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel who died while in service for causes attributable to Military / Coast Guard Service.
  • Category 4 Wards of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel disabled in service with disability attributable to Military / Coast Guard Service.
  • Category 5 Wards & Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel in receipt of gallantry awards.
  • Category 6 Wards / Widows of ESM / Ex Coast Guard personnel (PBOR Only).

Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme 2020: Online Application Form PDF Download @www.scholarships.gov.in– The Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme (PMSS), run by the Welfare and Rehabilitation Board, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is a scholarship scheme that aims at encouraging higher professional and technical education for the dependent wards and widows of Central Armed Police Forces & Assam Rifles (CAPFs & AR) and State Police Personnel.

Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme 2020

प्रधानमंत्री विशेष छात्रवृत्ति योजना: All India Council for Technical Education has started registration for the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme for 12th grade students studying in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. Students who want to apply in PMSSS 2020 can apply.

Scholarships Available

  • A total number of 5500 wards/widows of Ex-servicemen are selected for a scholarship in each academic year.
  • Scholarships are equally divided amongst boys and girls i.e. 2750 each.
  • Scholarships are paid for a period of one to five years as per the duration of the courses approved by the concerned regulatory bodies.
  • The scholarship amount is paid annually to the selected students.

  • Rs. 3000/- pm For Girls

Eligible Courses

The Eligibility Criteria for PMSS Courses are As Under :

  • First Professional Degree Courses like BE, B Tech, BDS, MBBS, B Ed, BBA, BCA, B Pharma, etc. duly recognized by the respective Government Regulatory Bodies, such as All India Council for Technical Education, Medical Council of India, UGC etc.
  • Master Degree Courses are not eligible for PMSS except MBA / MCA Courses.
  • Students studying abroad are not eligible for this scheme. No distance learning course is permitted under PMSS. PMSS can be availed for ONE COURSE only

Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme 2020: Selection criteria

Priority during selection will be given in the following order:

  • Widows or dependent wards of ex-servicemen or members of coast guard force who lost their lives while in action
  • Children or widows of those ex-servicemen or coast guard force, who suffered from any injury while on duty and were rendered disabled
  • Family members of those soldiers whose death was caused by army related causes whule on duty
  • Family members of former soldiers, who suffered from any injury became disabled
  • Candidates whose husbands or fathers were able to come to the service of the nation and received any gallantry awards
  • Children and widows of former coast guard members as well as ex-servicemen will also be selected who fall in “Personnel Below Officer Rank” category

Objectives of Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme 2020

SCHEME OBJECTIVE
The ‘Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS)’ is being implemented to encourage technical and post-graduate education for the widows and wards of the deceased/ex-service personnel of Armed Forces, Para Military Forces and Railway Protection Force.

  • Five thousand five hundred (5500) scholarships are being awarded annually under this scheme. 
  • The amount of scholarships was Rs.2,000/- for boys and Rs.2,250/- for the girls per month and is paid annually.
  • This has now been increased to Rs.2,500/- per month for boys and Rs.3,000/- per month for girls w.e.f. FY 2019-20

  • The Scheme was introduced in 2006.
  • The scheme is funded out of National Defence Fund administered by Prime Minister’s Office.
  • Scholarships are available for education at various technical institutions (medical, dental, veterinary, engineering, MBA, MCA and other equivalent technical institutions having AICTE/UGC approval).
  •  The payment is made through ECS into the bank account of the selected students.
  • The scheme migrated from offline to online mode with effect from Academic Year 2016-17.
  • This scholarship is only for wards of ex-members of Army, Navy or Air force. It will also apply to widows of those armed forces personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.
