PM-WANI Yojana Online Registration Process

The government approved a program called PM WANI to provide Wi-Fi services across the country. It has been decided to open around one crore data centers across the country under this scheme. These data centers will function like public data offices. It will work on the lines of earlier PCOs ie public call centers.

By spending any money from these centers, you will be able to take Wi-Fi service. The interesting thing is that a public data center will be able to open from a tea shop to a small shop. The registration process should be completed within 7 days of application. All Eligible Applicants who want to apply to this scheme then read all instructions carefully and follow the given below steps to apply online application form:

Procedure to Apply Online PM-WANI Yojana Application Form 2023

While no registration would be required for PDOs, PDOAs and App Providers will get themselves registered with DoT through online registration portal (SARALSANCHAR; https://saralsanchar.gov.in) of DoT, without paying any registration fee. Registration shall be granted within 7 days of the application.

PM-WANI Yojana 2023: Online Application Form PDF Download – To strengthen Digital India in the country and to provide internet facilities to the public, the Modi government has taken a big decision. Under which the Prime Minister has decided to start the Prime Minister’s Wi-Fi Access Interface Scheme (PM-WANI Yojana).

Pradhan Mantri WANI Yojana Public Data Office

To expand broadband Internet access across the country, the government has approved the establishment of a public Wi-Fi network through the Public Data Office (PDO). Any small shop or shared service center (CSC) can also be PDO PDO.

Under this, public Wi-Fi networks or ‘access points’ can also be installed at local grocery shops and street shops. Neither license nor registration will be required for PDO. Also, there will not be any charge for them. The public Wi-Fi access network interface (PM Vani) is expected to bring a major Wi-Fi revolution to the country.

Submarine Optical Fibre Cable

Ravi Shankar Prasad also announced that the Union Cabinet has given its approval for the Provision of Submarine Optical Fibre Cable Connectivity between the mainland (Kochi) and Lakshadweep Islands (KLI Project). The project envisages provision of a direct communication link through a dedicated submarine Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) between Kochi and 11 Islands of Lakshadweep viz Kavaratti, Kalpeni, Agati, Amini, Androth, Minicoy, Bangaram, Bitra, Chetlat, Kiltan, and Kadmat.

“No licence, no registration, and no fee would be applicable for the PDOs, which could be small shops or even Common Service Centres,” communications minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters after the meeting of the Cabinet.
