Summary: In its latest outreach aimed at migrant workers, the Modi government is planning to launch the Shramik Setu, an online portal that will also have an app version.

The portal will not only help the workers get details of the different welfare schemes run by the central and state governments but also apply online and avail of benefits targeting them.

This Shramik Setu Portal / App will be an initiative of the Union Labour and Employment Ministry and is likely to be launched in July 2020. As per the govt. sources, Shramik Setu project has already been cleared by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

All those people who are working in the unorganised sector will have to register on the portal using their Aadhaar or bank account numbers.

Apply Online : PM Shramik Setu Portal/ App Registration Form

Both skilled and unskilled laborers will be able to register themselves on the Shramik Setu portal. Because its app will also be launched, in which way it will be easy to register. Apart from this, if the laborer goes to any other state after registration, then there will be no need to register again, instead he will only have to update his location, after which the laborer will get work easily in that state.

Step to Apply Online PM Shramik Setu Portal/ App 2022

Step 1- Visit the Official Website PM Shramik Setu Portal/ App i.e. www.india.gov.in.

Step 2- On Homepage, Click on “Apply Now” Button.

Step 3- Registration Form page will displayed on screen.

Step 4- Now enter the required details (Mention all the details such as name, father/ husband name, date of birth, gender, skilled/ unskilled laborers, caste and other information) and upload documents.

Step 5- Click on Submit Button for final submission of application.

Note: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the PM Shramik App and PM Shramik Setu Portal will be launched soon. According to the information received so far, the possibility of localization of this labor bridge portal and app by July is being done by the central government.
