The NIFT 2022 online applications will be available on the official website – nift.ac.in. Candidates will also be able to complete the NIFT 2022 online application process through the direct link provided below. 

NIFT 2022

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi, will conduct the NIFT 2022 written exam in the month of January 2022 and application process will start from last week of Nov 2021. The National Institute of Fashion Technology will soon open the online registration portal for NIFT entrance exam 2022 for BDes, BFTech, MDes, MFtech and MFM admission at NIFT campuses.

Interested candidates who have passed or appearing 10+2 exam in 2022 can fill the NIFT registration form. NIFT Entrance Exam is conducted annually, in offline mode. Students applying and qualifying the NIFT 2022 exams will be eligible for admissions to the B.Des, B.Ftech, M.Des, MFM, and M.FTech courses offered by the institution across the various campuses.

Thousands of candidates participate in NIFT entrance exam for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in its 16 campuses across India.

NIFT 2022 Eligibility

Before filling the application form, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criterion for NIFT 2022 is given below-

• Bachelor Programs

Age criteria-

• Maximum age of candidates as on 1^st October 2021 must be 23 years.
• There is a relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST/PWD candidates

Qualification Criteria-

• For Bachelor of Design (B.Des.)-

Candidates who have completed 10+2 from a recognized Board are eligible.

OR

A candidate having General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB) is eligible

OR

A candidate having 3-4 Diploma recognized by AICTE or from a State Board of Technical Education.

• For Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech)

Candidates who have completed 10+2 from a recognized Board Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible.

OR

A candidate having General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / International Baccalaureate (IB) is eligible.

OR

A candidate having 3-4 Diploma recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education.

• Master Programs

Age Criteria

• No age limit is there for admission into Master courses.

Qualification Criteria-

• For Master of Design (M.Des.) and Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M)

Candidates with an undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university

OR

Candidate having an Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID is also eligible

• For M.Des (Master of Design)

A candidate who has done B.E / B.Tech from NIFT or any other recognized Institute / University is eligible.

Note- Candidates must have a working knowledge of English and must possess basic computer knowledge.

NIFT 2022-

• Applicants can fill the NIFT 2022 application form only through the online mode.
• Candidates can apply online for NIFT 2022, on the official website i.e. nift.ac.in.
• No offline forms are made available.
• Candidates have to fill all the authentic details in the application form.
• Candidates must upload all the documents like photograph and signature as per the prescribed format.
• Candidate can make a correction in the application form within the correction window.
• No need to send the printed copy of the filled application form to the Institute.
• Candidates are advised to take a printout of the filled application form along with the proof of payment for future use.

Step 3- Complete the application form by logging in using the registration details

Step 4- Enter all the required details in the NIFT 2022 application form and upload all necessary documents

NIFT 2022- Exam Pattern

The Exam Pattern for NIFT 2022 is as follows-

• NIFT 2022 Exam Pattern consists of CAT (Creative-Aptitude Test ) and GAT (General-Ability Test).
• The pen and paper i.e NIFT written examination is held for examining the knowledge and skill of the candidate.
• The duration of the exam will be 2 hours
• Questions will be asked in English.
• Nonnegative marking is there.

For B.Des and M.Des

GAT Exam Pattern 

Language of Test: It is held in the English / Hindi medium. 

Duration: The exam is conducted for 120 minutes.

The group discussion and personal interview round is held for the shortlisted candidates from Master’s Programme only.

NIFT Syllabus 2022

NIFT 2022 is conducted to test various skills of the candidates. As NIFT consist of CAT and GAT paper, candidates have to prepare accordingly.

CAT (Creative Ability Test) – Under this candidates have to work on their intuitive ability, design ability, the power of observation in concept development, illustration skills, and coloring skills.

NIFT Written Exam- Admit card

• National Institute of Fashion and Technology, releases NIFT 2022 admit card on the official website i.e. nift.ac.in. 
• Candidates can download NIFT 2022 admit cards once released officially.
• No, admit card will be sent through post to the candidates.
• Only those students who have printed their hard copy of admit cards from the website are allowed to enter the NIFT test center. Candidates without admit card will be allowed to enter the exam center.

NIFT Entrance Exam Result

NIFT result will be released in the month of February/March. Candidates will be able to check their result from the website of Institute by entering any two of their Roll No., Date of Birth, and Application No. After the announcement of the result, a situation test will be conducted for B.Des and GD/PI for management programs. Result will be made available to the candidates from 3rd week of March 2022.
