In order to check the NID DAT 2020, M.Des & B.Des Prelim results candidates are required to enter the email id, date of birth and verification code on the result link available on the official page. . The qualified candidates in the prelims will be eligible to appear for NID DAT mains which will be held from April 29 to May 3, 2020. The authorities will release NID DAT 2020 Mains result for B.Des./GDPD on May 28. Post announcement of final NID DAT result 2020, candidates can request for rechecking within a specific time.

NID (Design Aptitude Test) DAT 2020

NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT)  DAT is a national level exam conducted by National Institute of Design every year to offer admission to the students in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in design domain. Aspirants have to clear two tests for NID admission 2020 – Stage 1 (Prelims) and Stage 2 (Mains) to be eligible for admission in B.Des, Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) and M.Des courses offered at its campuses.

The total seats intake for B.Des and M.Des are approximately 125(including reserve) and 275 seats respectively. NID DAT exam is conducted on the basis of pen and paper mode.

NID DAT Prelims 2020

DAT Prelims is a computer-based test (CBT) based on which candidates are shortlisted for the next stage of the admission process which DAT Mains. The result for DAT Prelims is released in the form of scorecard. No hard copy of the scorecard is sent to the candidates via post or by email.

NID DAT Mains 2020

Based on the DAT Prelims merit list, candidates are shortlisted to appear for DAT Mains. The number of candidates are shortlisted are not less than three times in each category applied by a candidate. The format for DAT Mains in B.Des / GDPD and M.des programme is as follows:

DAT Mains for B.Des / GDPD

• DAT Mains is conducted over a period of 03 days.
• It is of 100 marks.
• It consists of tests in multiple formats such as in a studio set-up.
• The question paper will be in English language only.

DAT Mains for M.Des

• It is divided into two parts – Studio test and Interview.
• The studio test may consist of different formats of 100 marks and the duration will be of 03 hours.
• The interview is conducted separately for each discipline immediately after the studio test at the same centre as the studio test.
