The Chief Minister of Haryana has launched the Chief Minister’s Urban Body Ownership Scheme portal ulbshops.ulbharyana.gov.in with the aim of giving ownership rights to the people who have more than 20 years in the shops and houses of urban bodies.

The portal has been opened by the Urban Local Bodies Department under the Mukhyamantri Shehri Nikay Swamitva Yojana. Now eligible shopkeepers can apply under this scheme on the portal. After applying, the registration of the shops will be done by the government as per the rules. Before the registry, the property ID of the shop concerned will also have to be taken by its shopkeeper. The city council had collected the property ID by surveying all the shops under this scheme.

Jan Sahayak-Aapka Sahayak app

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday launched ‘Jan Sahayak Aapka Sahayak’ mobile app for Government to Citizen (G2C) and Business to Citizen (B2C) services. He also announced a scheme for providing ownership rights to Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) property holders.

For giving ownership rights to property holders, the CM launched ‘Mukhyamantri Shehri Nikay Swamitva Yojana’ portal. Those having houses, shops of the municipality on a lease or rent basis for the past 20 years can get ownership rights by registering on the portal.

The process of inviting applications will start from July 1. The occupiers will get a maximum of up to 50 per cent discount on the present collector rate.

The state government has decided that the shopkeepers who have completed 20 years as tenants on December 31, 2020, will be eligible to take ownership.
