This Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Bal Kalyan Yojana has been started by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan . Under this scheme, every child beneficiary of the children will be provided free education according to the scheme for school education, higher education, technical education, medical education, legal education etc.

Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Bal Kalyan Yojana Eligibility Criteria

Beneficiary Guidelines
  • The applicant should be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
  • The family should not be eligible to get the benefit of Chief Minister Covid-19 Yoddha Kalyan Yojana.
  • The deceased parents of the child beneficiary should not be such government servants or servants of government undertakings who are eligible to get a pension under the old pension scheme.
  • Boys/Girls who are 21 years of age or less, but for the prescribed duration of the undergraduate course, whichever is less and whose-
    1. The parent has died of Covid-19 or
    2. The parents had passed away in the past and their legitimate guardian died of COVID-19.
    3. One of the parents has died in the past and now the other has died of Covid-19.
  • “Death from COVID-19” means any such death which occurred during the period from 1st March, 2021 to 30th June, 2021.

ABOUT SCHEME
Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Bal Kalyan Yojana 2022: Online Application Form PDF Download – Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan has decided to provide financial, food and education assistance to such children, whose parents have died suddenly due to Covid-19. For all such children, the state government has issued orders for the Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Bal Kalyan Yojana and has implemented the scheme in the state with immediate effect.

The benefit of the Corona Child Welfare Scheme of the state of Madhya Pradesh will be available to all those children whose parents or guardians have died due to corona epidemic. All the children whose parents, guardians have died between 1st March 2020 to 31st July 2021 will get the benefit of this scheme.

Under the scheme the children who have lost both their parents will be provided sustenance of Rs 5,000 per month till they attain the age of 21. If the child pursues his/her studies beyond the age of 21, the allowance would be provided till the age of 24.

Application Process: Apply free of cost only at covidbalkalyan.mp.gov.in. For more details contact the District Program Officer, Women and Child Development Department of the district.

Assistance under the scheme

Monthly Financial Assistance – The assistance amount of 5000/- per month will be deposited in the bank account to each child beneficiary. If the age of the child is less than 18 years, then the children’s assistance amount will be deposited in the joint account of the identified guardian. After attaining the age of 18 years, it will be deposited in his personal account. The assistance amount will be payable to the concerned child beneficiary till the age of 21 years.

Monthly Ration Assistance – Monthly ration will be provided to every child beneficiary and their guardian appointed under the provisions of the scheme under the National Food Security Act.

Education Assistance – Free education (from first class to graduation) will be provided to every child beneficiary according to the scheme for school education, higher education, technical education, medical education, legal education etc.

Due to the sudden death of parents earning a livelihood in many families due to Covid-19, there is a need to provide government assistance to the children of such affected families. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial and food security to these children, so that they can complete their education smoothly while leading a dignified life.

  • The state government would take care of the children who were orphaned in the corona epidemic.
  • Under the Covid19 MP bal yojana , a pension of Rs 5000 per month will be provided to the children by the state government.

  • Under the scheme even private individuals or organisations will be able to sponsor a child by paying Rs 2,000 a month for the child.
