Aviation Ministry to launch Krishi Udan scheme for transport of agri-products: FM The UDAN scheme is being run under regional connectivity to connect various states and cities by airways. It has so far connected more than 250 small cities to the UDAN scheme. Under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Udaan Yojana, farmers across India will be able to get the right price as a result of the smooth transportation of their crops. Krishi Udaan Yojana Online Registration Process

To facilitate the marketing of agricultural and farm products of the northeastern states outside the region, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has launched the ‘Krishi-Udan Scheme’. Krishi Udan Yojana focuses on transportation of milk, meat, fish, fruits etc. All the fruits, vegetables, crops that have shorter shelf lives will be transported through airplanes to markets as quickly as possible.

Procedure to Apply Online Krishi Udan Yojana Application Form 2022

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of Krishi Udan Yojana of Ministry of Agriculture i.e. http://agriculture.gov.in/.

Step 2- On the Homepage, you will see an option of ‘Apply Online’. Click on that and the next page will open.

Step 3- Application Form page will be displayed on the screen.

ABOUT SCHEME

Krishi Udaan Yojana 2022: Online Application Form PDF Download – Krishi Udan Yojana was announced by Nirmala Sitharaman, our Finance Minister during the Budget announcement for 2020-21. Under the scheme, financial incentives in terms of concessions from the Centre, state governments and airport operators are extended to selected airlines to encourage operations from unserved and undeserved airports, and keep airfares affordable. In Udan 4.0, the VGF has been enhanced for aircraft having more than 20 seats and that would operate in priority areas — Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, northeastern states, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. There are 12 airports in the northeast – Guwahati, Silchar, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Tezpur (all Assam), Tezu and Pasighat (Arunachal Pradesh), Agartala (Tripura), Imphal (Manipur), Shillong (Meghalaya), Dimapur (Nagaland) and Lengpui (Mizoram).

Under the Krishi Udyan Yojana, financial incentives will be given by selected central and state governments to the selected airlines in the context of concession from the airport operators. Under this scheme, at least half of the seats in the flights will be given on subsidized fares and a certain amount of viability gap funding (VGF) will be provided to the participating carriers. It will have the facility to carry perishable products in refrigerated compartments. Special farmer trains are proposed to be run under Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
