Summary: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched ‘Jagananna Vasathi Deevena’ at Vizianagaram on 24th February 2020. Under the scheme, financial assistance will be given to ITI, polytechnic and degree students towards hostel and mess charges. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme. As part of it, the Chief Minister has credited Rs.1,048.94 crore into the accounts of mothers of 10,89,302 students under ‘Jagananna Vasathi Deevena’ scheme for the academic year 2020-21. The AP government wants to provide financial benefits for polytechnic students, degrees, and ITI towards mess and hostel fees. Students from SC, ST, BC, Minorities, Kapu, Economically Weaker Section, disabled, etc., will be benefited under this scheme.

Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme Eligibility Criteria

Beneficiary Guidelines
  • Government job employees are not eligible for the scheme.
  • All the students, pursuing Polytechnic, ITI, and Degree & above level courses in Government/ Aided/ Private colleges, affiliated to State Universities/ Boards.
  • The students under the following categories are eligible for availing the Schemes – Day scholar students, students in College Attached Hostels (CAH) and Department Attached Hostels (DAH).
  • If anyone in the family is availing pension then he or she is not eligible for the scheme.
  • The family’s annual income should be less than Rs 2.5 Lakh per anum.
  • 75% of the aggregate attendance is mandatory for the release of scholarships.
  • Beneficiaries should only have the wetland below 10 acres/ agricultural land below 25 acres/ or wetland and agricultural land under 25 acres.
  • The beneficiaries should not own any four-wheelers (Car, Taxi, Auto, etc).
  • The students under the following categories are not eligible for availing the Schemes – Studying in Private Universities/ Deemed Universities, Pursuing Correspondence/ Distance education courses., Admitted under Management/ Spot Quota.
  • If someone in the student’s family is paying property tax then they are also not eligible for the scheme
  • Student’s house must be of less than 1500 square feet in the city will be eligible for the scheme.
  • The ward of a sanitation worker, irrespective of their salary and type of recruitment are eligible for the scheme

Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme 2021: Online Application Form PDF Download – Andhra Pradesh govt. has launched Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme 2021. Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy has released first installment of Jagan Anna Vidya Deevena Scheme on 19 April 2020. A total amount of Rs. 671.45 crore was paid directly to accounts of women whose children are pursuing higher education. The second installment is scheduled to be released in July 2021, third in December 2021 and fourth in February 2022.

And this 100% fee reimbursement benefits will be given to those students who belong to the following categories:

Incentives Under Jagananna Vasathi Deevena

Objectives of Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme 2021

SCHEME OBJECTIVE
The objective of the scheme is to enable the mothers to send their wards to higher education without any financial difficulty. The courses covered are ITI, polytechnic, degree and PG/Ph.D (except Intermediate students who are covered under ‘Amma Vodi’) and full fee reimbursement is provided for SC/ST students irrespective of courses.

In order to provide quality education for the students and to ease the financial burden on parents, the government has come up with ‘Vasathi Deevena’ scheme, reimbursing the college fees and for boarding and hostel fees to the students.
