Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana Online Registration Process

This scheme will be implemented through Anganwadi Centres. ANMs and ASHA Sahayoginis of the health department would be in the regular trough with the beneficiary women for proper nutrition and care of their children. Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana run by Rajasthan State Government will complement the Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana ( PMMVY ) , in which Rs 5000 is provided for the birth of the first child.

Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana 2022: Online Application Form PDF Download –  To provide proper nutrition to pregnant mothers and children, ‘Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana’ has been launched in Rajasthan. The scheme is initially implemented in 4 TSP districts (Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur and Pratapgarh). The objective of the scheme is to provide proper nutrition to pregnant mothers and children up to the age of 3 years. This will also increase awareness among the people in regard to the importance of the mother’s health and her nutrition level for the proper development of the child.

Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana 2022 budget

The state government has started this scheme for women at the time of second delivery in compliance with the provisions of the National Food Security Act, 2013, the family members will take care of pregnant and nursing women and child nutrition. Under this, an annual cost of Rs 43 crore will be incurred, funding will be done by the State Mineral Foundation Trust under the department of mines and geology. The government aims to reach out to 75,000 beneficiaries annually. It estimates an expenditure of ₹45 crore per year. In the coming 5 years, 3.75 lakh women beneficiaries will be given the benefit of this scheme. Which is estimated to cost Rs 225 crores.

On the birth of the second child, the beneficiary woman will be given Rs. 6000 directly in her bank account in five installments. The State scheme will complement the Central government’s Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana which offers ₹5,000 for the birth of the first child. The first installment of Rs. 1000 will be given after the pregnancy test and registration; the second installment of Rs. 1000 after completion of minimum of two ante-natal check-ups; the third installment of Rs. 1000 on institutional delivery; fourth installment of Rs. 2000 after getting all the regular vaccines administered to the newborn within 105 days of birth and after the birth registration of the child and the fifth and last installment of Rs. 1000 will be given on the couple adopting a means of family planning within three months after birth. This way, this scheme would also encourage family planning.

It is a maternity benefit scheme. Beneficiary women will get Rs 6000 in five phases. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the scheme through video conferencing. On the occasion of its launch, two beneficiaries each from the four districts were given cheques of Rs 1000 each as the first installment of this scheme. More than 77 thousand women are expected to be benefitted from this scheme every year.  It estimates an expenditure of ₹45 crore per year.
