The Indian Army amid the protests released the recruitment notification for the Agniveer Recruitment under the Agnipath/Agneepath Scheme. Agneepath recruits non-commissioned officers in all three services. It’s an integration and nation-building initiative. Chances for all youths and women. It’s 4 years in service, 3.5 years in deployment, and the last 6 months in training. The Indian Army and Air Force Bharti will be done twice a year under this scheme’s plan. Around 50,000 maximum Bharti will be done every year through this Agneepath Scheme, and only 25% will be selected to continue in the army after the completion of 4 years of service.
Selection Process
Overview: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Written Examination, Trade Test Depends on Post, Document Verification, Medical Examination.
- Approved candidates will be asked to take the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) after the application process.
- A candidate must traverse 1.6 km in 5 minutes 30 seconds by sprinting, doing pull-ups, jumping a 9-foot ditch, and zig-zagging.
- Those who pass the PFT will take the “Physical Measurement Test,” the “Medical Test,” and the “Written Test’
