People living in Haryana villages will now be able to virtually lodge complaints and give suggestions to the state government after chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched an online portal ‘Gram Darshan’ on 23 July 2021. The portal -gramdarshan.haryana.gov.in – has been developed to ensure direct and active participation of villagers in development works.

Summary: Haryana Gram Darshan Portal has been started by the Haryana Government in the state. All types of facilities will be provided to the citizens of the state under the portal. Complete data of 6197 gram panchayats of Haryana will be available on this portal. The villagers would now be able to directly submit online demands or complaints and suggestions related to development works to the government on online portal Gram Darshan https://gramdarshan.haryana.gov.in/ for suggestions and complaints related to development works of villages.

The main vision of ‘Gram Darshan’ is to make all government services accessible to common citizens through the websites of Gram Panchayats and ensure efficiency, transparency and reliability of all such services to meet their basic needs.

The complaints made by the villagers on the portal would be linked with CM Window so that there is no duplication of complaints. An individual will be able to file a complaint/suggestion on the portal only in respect of the village of his permanent residence.

The applicant has to state his point of view in at least 50 characters while registering the complaint/suggestion on the Gram Darshan portal.

This portal will have detailed information about all government schemes. Information related to Sarpanch, Village Secretary etc. will also be there on the website of each Gram Panchayat. Apart from this the property details will also be uploaded on this website.

Procedure to register demand/suggestion/complaint in the interest of your village

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of Haryana Gram Darshan Portal i.e. gramdarshan.haryana.gov.in.

Step 2- On the Homepage, Click on the Option “अपने गांव के हित में मांग/सुझाव/शिकायत देने के लिए यहाँ क्लिक करें (Click here to make demand/suggestion/complaint in the interest of your village)” link.

Step 4- Now, you have to select your district, block and gram panchayat.

Gram Darshan Portal launched

On 23 July 2021, the Gram Darshan online portal has been started by the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar. Through which citizens living in villages of Haryana can register their complaints. Apart from this, he can also provide suggestions to the state government.

The main objective of ‘Gram Darshan’ is to develop ‘Gram Darshan’ as a hub of information for the villagers by using information and communication technology. Apart from this, better transparency, accountability, efficiency and compliance of RTI have to be ensured in Panchayats. This website also aims to improve the administration of local self-government.

Through this portal, the participation of rural citizens in development works will be ensured. Through this portal, the rural citizens of the state will be able to register their demands, suggestions and complaints. Based on the suggestions received through this portal, future development policies will be developed.

Stating that the priority of the government is to redress grievances of people, Khattar said the complaints registered on ‘Gram Darshan’ portal will be linked with ‘CM Window’ to cut chances of repetition of complaints. The portal will also be linked with ‘Jan Sahayak’ app.
