Summary: Haryana Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar on Thursday launched a website —  covidssharyana.in — where grocery dealers, milk sellers and chemists can register themselves for home delivery of commodities to people in the state.

The Chief Minister also said that e-passes would be issued from today for delivery boys and all those who have to come out for supply of essential commodities. Khattar assured people that the government would provide all possible help in the fight against coronavirus.

He announced helpline numbers 1075 and 1100, where people could approach the government for any kind of issue related to Covid and the lockdown.

Additional director general of police (law and order) Navdeep Virk said citizens can apply at https://saralharyana.gov.in The applications will be processed by the deputy commissioner’s office. Applicants will receive pass via sms or email if the request is found genuine, he said.

In a communication to commissioners of police, district superintendents of police, DCP, Panchkula, SP, GRP, Ambala, Virk said the system may be advertised widely and information be placed in all police control rooms and helplines setup for the purpose.

The Haryana government on Monday imposed night curfew in the state with immediate effect amid a surge in coronavirus cases.

“Night curfew between 9 pm and 5 am will be imposed from tonight and will remain in force till further orders,” Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said.

He said the decision has been taken in the wake of an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state recently.
