Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) has announced notification for the recruitment of Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CGTET) 2020 (Primary & Upper Primary level) vacancies.

The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (PEB) is the governing authority and is responsible for CG TET. This TET exam is conducted at state-level once in a year. The exam is scheduled to be held on March 22, 2020 in two shifts. The online application form can be filled from February 14, 2020 till March 01, 2020.

Class I-V (Primary Level)
  • Candidates must pass Higher Secondary with minimum 50% marks. OR
  • Must have passed 12th class with minimum 45% and a two year’s training in elementary education under National Teacher Education Council. OR
  • Must have passed 12th class with minimum 50% and a 4-year-old elementary education training. OR
  • Must have passed 12th class with a minimum of 50% and a candidate for the final year in the biennial training.
Class VI-VIII (Upper Primary Level)
  • Candidates must have obtained any 2/3 year graduate degree. must be enrolled in the first year of a two-year training in primary education. OR
  • A candidate must have obtained a graduate degree with minimum 50% marks and must be enrolled in the first year of B. Ed. and must have a last year’s candidate. OR
  • A candidate must have obtained a graduate degree with minimum 50% marks in BEd, as per National Teacher Education Council. OR
  • Candidate must have passed 12th class with minimum 50% marks and a 4-year-old elementary education graduate (BLA).

The exam pattern of the Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test is given below:

The CG TET 2020 consits of two papers and both have multiple choice questions.

  • Paper I is for the post of teachers for class 1-5
  • Paper II is for the post of teachers for class 6-8

Duration of Exam: The duration of Each Paper is 2 hours 30 minutes

Note: The person who wants to be eligible to become a teacher in both levels of class I-VIII will have to pass the qualification in both the papers.

About CG TET
Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) conducts the Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test for the recruitment of the eligiblie candidates who wants to become teachers for class I-V preimary level and for class VI-VII upper primary level. The exam is being conducted in online mode and consits of two papers i,e. paper 1 and paper 2. Each paper consists of 150 multiple-choice questions. The exam duration is of 2 hours and 30 minutes for each paper.
