Bihar New Ration Card

A Ration Card is a document issued under an order or authority of the State Government, as per the Public Distribution System, for the purchase of essential commodities from fair price shops. State Governments issue distinctive Ration Cards to Above Poverty Line, Below Poverty Line and Antyodaya families and conduct periodical review and checking of Ration Cards.

Families living below the poverty line are entitled to Blue Cards, under which they can avail special subsidies. In addition to permanent Ration Cards, States also issue temporary Ration Cards, which are valid for a specified number of months, and are issued for relief purposes.

Bihar Ration Card 1000 Rupees News

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday said that an assistance of Rs 1,000 will be provided to all families that do not have ration cards but were identified by self-help groups of ‘Jeevika’ in the state.

The state government has earlier decided to provide Rs 1,000 to each ration card-holding family in the state following the enforcement of lockdown.

“There should be no confusion about it. After providing Rs 1,000 to these families, ration cards should be issued to them (families identified by Jeevika) after completing verification of documents,” Kumar said in a meeting here.

BPL, APL, AAY, and Annapurna Ration Cards

BPL Ration Card	The color of this ration card is red. The BPL Ration Card is issued to those families whose families are less than Rs 24,000 and live below the poverty line.
APL Ration Card	The color of this ration card is blue. The APL Ration Card is issued to families whose families are more than Rs 24,000.
Antyodaya Ration Card {AAY}	Antyodaya ration card is issued to the poorest families, this ration card gets the most facilities.
Annapurna Ration Card	This ration card is issued to those aged above 60 years.

Bihar Ration Card Application Form Registration Process

• You may obtain the application form for making a new Consumer (Ration) Card from any Circle Office/ S.D.O. Office.
• After this, you will have to fill all the information asked in the application form like name, address, mobile number etc.
• You will require passport-sized photographs of the head of your family attested by a gazetted officer/MLA/MP/Municipal Councillor, the specified proof(s) of residence, and the Surrender/Deletion Certificate of the previous Ration Card, if there was any.
• In case you are not able to provide any proof of residence, the Circle FSO/S.I./M.O. conducts spot inquiries by recording the statements of two independent witnesses in your neighborhood.
• The standard prescribed time schedule for the preparation of a Ration Card is generally 15 days. However, the procedure and time limit may vary from State to State.

Step 1- Visit the Official Website to apply for Bihar Ration Card online  http://sfc.bihar.gov.in/login.htm

Step 2- On Homepage, you will see the form of Bihar Ration Card.

Step 3- By downloading this form, you will have to fill the complete information of the members of your household in it.

Step 4- Please note that a member’s name will appear only once.

Step 5- If you fill it again, your form will be considered wrong.

Step 6- While filling the Bihar Ration Card online, you must first register yourself in it.

Step 7- For which you will ask for your mobile number.

Step 8- After Filling the mobile number, an OTP number will come on your phone.

Step 9- You must fill this number at the time of your registration.

Step 10- You will enter this OTP, your registration will be completed.

Step 11- After this you will create an email ID and password.
