Summary: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the general budget on Monday, announced a self-reliant health plan which will cost Rs 64,480 crore. The Government will be spent on health services ranging from primary healthcare to higher levels.
Under this scheme, assistance will be provided to improve and modernize the capacity of health centers, as well as integrated public health laboratories will be established in every district and a provision has been made to spend Rs 35,400 crore on Covid-19 vaccine program
The scheme will help to establish critical care hospital blocks in 602 districts and 12 central institutions, strengthening of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), its 5 regional branches and 20 metropolitan health surveillance units and expansion of the Integrated Health Information Portal to all States/UTs to connect all public health labs.

Pradhan Mantri Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana Online Registration Process: The government announced the launch of the Prime Minister’s Self-Reliant Healthy India Scheme to provide better healthcare to more people. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made the announcement while presenting the budget of 2021-22 presented in the Lok Sabha on Monday and said that Rs 64,180 crore would be spent under the scheme in 6 years.

64,180 करोड़ रुपए के बजट के साथ प्रधानमंत्री आत्मनिर्भर स्वस्थ भारत योजना शुरू होगी. इसके जरिए स्वास्थ्य देखभाल प्रणालियों की क्षमता विकसित करने, नई बीमारियों का पता लगाने और ठीक करने के लिए नए संस्थानों का विकास किया जाएगा. 70 हजार गांवों के वेलनेस सेंटर्स को इससे मदद मिलेगी. 602 जिलों में क्रिटिकल केयर हॉस्पिटल खोले जाएंगे. इतना ही नहीं नेशनल सेंटर फॉर डिसीज कंट्रोल को मजबूत किया जाएगा. इंटीग्रेटेड हेल्थ इन्फॉर्मेश पोर्टल खोले जाएंगे ताकि पब्लिक हेल्थ लैब्स को जोड़ा जा सकेगा.

The Finance Minister said that with a budget of Rs 64,180 crore, the Prime Minister Self-Reliant Healthy India Scheme will be started, under which the government will spend these rupees in the next 6 years. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that soon the PM Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana will be launched. Under this scheme, the government will spend Rs 64,180 crore in the next 6 years.

Sitharaman said: “I have provided Rs 35,000 crore for Covid-19 vaccine in this year 2021-22… I am committed to provide further funds if required. So the Budget outlay for health and well-being is Rs 2,23,846 crore in 2021-22, as against only Rs 94,452 crore (in 2020-21) and it marks an increase of 137 percent.”
