The scheme is in line with the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS). It stated that the Assam Employee Health Assurance Scheme would also cover newly recruited employees and their family and all civil officers serving under the Assam government on an optional basis. The scheme is set to be launched on February 1 for in-service employees, while retired state government staffers can avail it from April 1.

Assam EHAS Employee Health Assurance Scheme Online Registration Process
Medical scheme for Assam govt employee, Health card for Assam govt employees: Employee Health Assurance Scheme (EHAS) 2020 to be rolled out by the Assam government from 1 February 2021. From this scheme, around 4.3 lakh state govt employees would be benefited. The Government employees who are on pension will allow joining the scheme in the future.
This scheme will also provide a cashless treatment facility to the beneficiaries through an insurance company.
Unspecified Procedures in EHAS Scheme Assam: Unspecified Procedures should be covered under the basic benefits package of EHAS Scheme Assam. This coverage would be based on the pre-authorization process initiated by the insurance company and authority. It will be limited to Rs. 3 lakhs per annum during the block period of three years.
