Assam Employee Health Assurance Scheme 2021: Medical scheme (Health card) for Assam govt employee Assam EHAS Online Application Form PDF Download –  Under this Assam Employee Health Assurance Scheme, cashless treatment will be provided to beneficiaries through insurance companies, such as a network of state government employees and incomplete hospitals through insurance companies, as per the instructions given by the state government. About 4.3 lakh government employees will be benefitted from this scheme.

The former proposed a card-based cashless treatment coverage for around 1,600 surgeries, procedures and treatment as a part of the modalities for the Employees Health Assurance Scheme.

EHAS Insurance Premium Amount

The Assam government will pay EHAS Insurance Premium Amount on behalf of employees and pensioners to the insurance company. It is estimated that approx. 4.3 lakh state government employees will be the beneficiaries of the Assam Employee Health Assurance Scheme 2021.

Basic Benefit Package

  • Basic Benefit Package will include the cost of procedure, implant and room charges.
  • In the Basic Benefit Package, the insurer will pay all of the expenses as per the package cost which will be specified by the concerned organisation and also the cost of medical treatment which is taken by the beneficiaries in the empanelled hospital created by the Assam Government.
  • The coverage will limit to Rupees 3 lakh per annum during the block period of 3 years

Additional Benefit Package

In this package, the insurance coverage is to be given over and above the basic coverage for catastrophic illnesses specified. All diseases under the scheme will be covered from day one and there will not be any waiting period

“Hon’ble minister, health & family welfare stated that if the employees association convey their willingness to adopt the scheme, then the scheme be launched for in-service employees from 01/02/2021 and for retired employees from 01/04/2021, after completing all procedural requirements,” read the record note of the meeting chaired by Himanta at the state secretariat.
