A.P. Education Common Entrance Test (AP Ed.CET-2020) for the year 2020 will be conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam for admission into B.Ed. regular course (two years duration) in the University/Government/ Aided/Un-aided/Private Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2020-21. Eligible candidates may submit their applications through online mode only, by paying the application registration and processing fee of Rs.600/-(for SC/ST Rs.400/-).

How to Apply

Steps to Apply AP EdCET Online Form 2020
Candidates can apply for AP EdCET at sche.ap.gov.in. The candidates have to follow the steps given below to fill the application form. There are 4 Steps in filling the AP Ed.CET online application.

Step-1: Fee Payment: Candidate can make Online Fee Payment through this option.

Step-2: Know your Payment status: Candidate can check Success/Failure status of
Fee Payment

Step-3: Fill Application: After fee payment either by cash at APOnline Center or by
money transfer by Debit/Credit/Net Banking modes, candidate should fill in the
Application through this option.

Step-4: Print Application Form: After application form submission, candidate can print
the submitted form

Required Documents

Necessary Documents to fill AP EdCET 2020 Application Form
Candidates have to use the below given documents to fill in the application form of AP EdCET 2020. The documents below are to be used for reference and some are to be uploaded in the application form.

Documents Required:

  • APOnline Transaction Id.
  • Credit card or Debit card details
  • Qualifying Examination appeared or passed Hall ticket Number of the Qualifying examination
  • Test Applied for B.Ed. / Methodology chosen under Part C of the test
  • Date of Birth, Birth District, Birth State
  • Hall Ticket Number of SSC or Equivalent examination Certificate
  • Local Status (OU/AU/SVU/ Non-local)
  • Income of Parents (Income Up to Rs.1.0 lakh or Upto Rs. 2.0 lakhs)
  • STUDY DETAILS
  • Category (SC, ST,BC, etc.) and Application number of the Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ST/BC only)
  • Special Category (NCC, PH, Sports, CAP, etc.)
  • Aadhaar Card details
  • Ration Card Details

AP EdCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for AP EdCET 2020 below.

Nationality: The candidates must belong to India.

Nativity: The candidates mst fulfill the local / non – local status enlisted by Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.

Age limit

The candidates must be 19 years of age in the year of admission.

Educational qualification

(a) Candidates should have passed/appearing for final year examinations of B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science) /B.Com./ B.E/B.Tech/B.C.A./B.B.M. at the time of submitting the Application for APEd.CET-2020. Candidates should be required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of admission.

(b) Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks either in the Bachelor Degree i.e. B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M and or in the Postgraduate Degree in relevant subject or 5 years integrated course in the relevant subject of methodology or any other qualification equivalent thereto. However the candidates belonging to all other reserved categories i.e. S.C., S.T., B.C. (A/B/C/D/E), and physically handicapped should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.

(c)As per the GOM’s No: 92, the candidates who passed M.B.B.S/B.D.S/B.A.M.S/B.L/L.L.B/B.A.(Languages)/B.O.L etc. and other such professional courses are not eligible for admission into B.Ed Course

AP EdCET 2020 : Notification

A Common Entrance Test, designated as Education Common Entrance Test-2020 (AP Ed.CET-2020) will be conducted by the CONVENER,AP Ed.CET-2020, Institute of Advanced Study in Education (IASE), Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education for admission into B.Ed. Regular Course in the University, Government, Aided and Private Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2020-2021

The candidates can take admission in the following courses based on AP EdCET scores:

  • Part-A: General English – 25 questions for 25 marks
  • Part-B: General Knowledge – 15 questions for 15 marks and Teaching Aptitude – 10 questions for 10 marks
  • Part-C: Methodology: Candidate has to choose one of the following subjects. It consists of 100 questions for 100 marks.
  • Mathematics – 100 questions for 100 marks
  • Physical Sciences – 100 questions for 100 marks (Physics – 50 questions for 50 marks; Chemistry – 50 questions for 50 marks)
  • Biological Sciences – 100 questions for 100 marks (Botany – 50 questions for 50 marks; Zoology – 50 questions for 50 marks)
  • Social Studies – 100 questions for 100 marks (Geography – 35 questions for 35 marks; History – 30 questions for 30 marks; Civics – 15 questions for 15 marks; Economics – 20 questions for 20 marks)
  • English – 100 questions for 100 marks
MEDIUM OF ENTRANCE TEST
The question paper will be in English and Telugu except for English methodology. However, candidates opting to write the Entrance Test in Urdu medium will be served with Urdu paper and such candidates shall opt Kurnool as Test Centre
CENTRES OF ENTRANCE TEST

The Common Entrance Test will be held at the following Centres.

Anantapuramu, Chittoor, Puttur, Tirupathi, Kadapa, Kurnool, Nandyal, Nellore, Ongole, Guntur, Vijayawada, Bhimavaram, Kakinada, Rajamahendravaram, Visakhapatnam,
Vizianagaram, Srikakulam

However, Convener reserves the right to allot candidates to any other center(s) in unavoidable circumstances.

QUALIFYING MARKS
The qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for all candidates (except SC/ST) are 37 out of total marks (i.e. 25%). For the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, there will be no qualifying marks for ranking. There will be no minimum qualifying marks for women in Physical Sciences/Mathematics methodologies.
