The central government has now changed its rules, which has been informed by tweet by Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan himself. He has written in his tweet that the benefit of this scheme is not being given to the disabled and the High Court order has been taken seriously in this matter. After this, orders have been issued to all the states that the disabled should also be included in this scheme.

NFSA AAY Antyodaya Anna Yojana Online Registration Process

Apply for new ration card under NFSA: Identification of beneficiaries/households under the National Food Security Act, 2013 (NFSA) and issuance of Antodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and Priority Household (PHH) ration cards is dealt by the respective State Government / UT Administration.

Procedure to Apply Online Antyodaya Anna Yojana Application Form 2020

Step 1- Visit the Official Website of Antyodaya Anna Yojana i.e. nfsa.gov.in.

Antyodaya Anna Yojana Eligibility Criteria

Beneficiary Guidelines
  • Applicants should be living below the poverty line.
  • The applicant should be selected for Antyodaya Ration Card issued by the designated authority.
  • Landless agriculture labourers, marginal farmers, rural artisans /craftsmen and persons earning their livelihood on daily basis in the informal sector in both rural and urban areas.
  • Households headed by widows or terminally ill persons/disabled persons/ persons aged 60 years or more with no assured means of subsistence or societal support.
  • For this he may have to give an affidavit that he did not have many ration cards before.
  • All primitive tribal households.

ABOUT SCHEME
NFSA AAY Antyodaya Anna Yojana 2020: Online Application Form PDF Download – The Department of Food and Public Distribution under Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution has sent letters to States Governments/UTs to include all eligible disabled persons under the National Food Security Act 2013.

Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) was launched in December 2000. Under the scheme one crore of the poorest and the Below Poverty Line (BPL) families covered under the targeted public distribution system were identified. Under AAY, food grains at a highly subsidized rate of Rs.1/ per kg coarse grains, Rs.2/ per kg for wheat and Rs. 3/ per kg for rice are distributed to beneficiaries. Now sugar also will be provided 1 Kg per month to each AAY family at the rate of Rs. 18.50 per Kg.

New Rules of Antyodaya Anna Yojana

Now what happened Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY-Antyodaya Anna Yojana) changes –

Ram Vilas Paswan said that the Antyodaya Anna Yojana will provide 35 kg of food grains per family per month.

The state government is responsible for the beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) ration card and priority family (PHH) ration card.

Antyodaya Anna Yojana is mainly reserved for the poor, poor families in urban and rural areas will be provided the benefit of this scheme.

A unique quota card will be provided to the family of the applicant selected for Antyodaya family to get Antyodaya Ration Card recognition.

Covered households

(AAY) was launched for one crore families. Coverage under this scheme has been expanded thrice covering an additional 50 lakh households each time. Thus, the total coverage under AAY was raised to 2.50 crores AAY families (i.e.38% of BPL)

  • The scale of issue that was initially 25 kg per family per month was increased to 35 kg per family per month with effect from 1st April 2002.

  • State Governments are also requested to ensure proper benefit of 5 Kg additional free grain distribution per person under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana PMGKAY and Self-Reliant India Package to the PwDs.

  • In order to make TPDS more focused and targeted towards this category of population, the “Antyodaya Anna Yojana” (AAY) was launched in December, 2000 for one crore poorest of the poor families.
  • Under this scheme (AAY Yojana), 35 kg wheat and paddy is provided at very cheap rate per month to poor families or below poverty line (BPL) families (scheme for poor people)
    Now this, The benefit of the scheme will be provided to the differently-abled as well.
  • To avail the benefit of the scheme, the beneficiary must be below the poverty line and his name should be selected for Antyodesh Ration Card by the authority.
  • For registration in this scheme, the beneficiary has to produce a certificate of income issued by the patwari of his area. Also it has to be shown that he did not already have any ration card.
