Summary: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the flagship ‘Amma Vodi’ scheme to support lakhs of below poverty line mothers or guardians to educate their children.

Amma Vodi Phase 2 Beneficiary List Released

Ammoodi has arranged for those who do not apply to solve the problem within the village secretariats without turning around the authorities. The education department officials announced that the login facility will be provided to the village secretariats for the revision of the Ammoodi list. It was clarified that the Secretariat staff was also given the option to edit the list of disqualified persons.

Ammoodi Scheme Qualifications:

  • Magani per family should not exceed 3 acres .. or more than 10 acres of fallow land .. or more than 10 acres in total.
  • Family income should not exceed Rs.10,000 per month in rural areas and Rs.12,000 per month in urban areas.
  • The electricity bill should not consume more than 300 units per month. Or the current current bill for the last six months should not have consumed 1800 units.
  • Selling does not apply to children of government employees and pensioners. Children of sanitation workers are exempt from this provision.
  • Amma Odi does not apply if there is a four wheeler in the name of someone in the family. However, tractors, taxis and autos are exempted from this provision.
  • 1000 sq. Ft. In municipalities .. Not applicable if houses have more than 1200 sq. Ft. In villages.
  • Those who have previously paid income tax are ineligible.

Increased beneficiaries this year:

72,74,674 students from class one to class ten in the state and 10,97,580 students in classes 11 and 12 have been selected for the Amma Odi scheme, Minister Suresh said. It said it would benefit a total of 83,72,254 students from 61,317 schools and 3,116 colleges. On January 9, Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy said the money would be deposited in the bank accounts of the mothers of the students. He explained that the number of students benefiting this year has increased more than last year.

Amma Vodi Scheme Eligibility Criteria

Beneficiary Guidelines
  • All below poverty line mothers/ guardians in the state with school-going children, studying in class 1-12 in either private, government, aided or unaided schools will be eligible for the financial assistance.
  • The student must be a permanent and legal resident of Andhra Pradesh state.
  • Children must have 75 per cent attendance in schools, and their families must be white ration card holder, to avail the scheme.
  • Those who drop out of schools would stop being beneficiary.
  • The family should have a white ration card
  • The family should own either a valid Aadhaar Card or a Voter ID Card
  • The student must have a working and eligible PAN card.
  • A State Government Official’s ward is not applicable for the scheme.

His government’s flagship programme ‘Amma Vodi’ scheme is meant to support lakhs of poor and needy mothers to educate their children.

The state government had issued the order sanctioning financial assistance to about 43 lakh mothers or guardians last week. The scheme says that the mothers of minors, who are studying in school (Class 1-Class 12), whether in private, government, aided or unaided schools, are eligible for the scheme.

Funds to the tune of ₹ 6,455.80 crore have been allocated for implementation of the scheme in the academic year 2019-20 in all government, private aided, private unaided schools/junior colleges.

The government has made a key reference to the implementation of the Amma Odi scheme in AP . The government is preparing to implement the Jagannath Ammoodi scheme across the state on January 9, 2023. The selection of those who are already eligible is almost complete. It will provide Rs 15,000 to about 80 lakh students. However .. for some reason even those who qualified went into the disqualification lists. With this, the government has given another chance to all such people.

Mode of Payment

Beneficiaries will get the benefits directly transferred into the Bank Accounts of their mother/ guardian by the concerned department. The amount will transfer in the month of January of every year until the applicant will complete intermediate/ 12th/ +2. If the child discontinues the study in between then he will not get any financial assistance.

Deadlines For The School

There are certain deadlines that have been fixed by the concerned authorities for schools to submit the data for the students in the current academic year such as:-

  • Strength less than 100 – Before the 25th of November.
  • Strengths between 100 to 300 – On the 26th of November.
  • Strengths more than 300 – 27th November.

  7. Sir my kid in ineligible list because of the aadhar details are not valid. I asked in sachivalayam,they told to me the aadhar should be in update,but the aadhar centers are not worked due to corona virus,they are not allowed the children for the updation, now I updated my children aadhar, but it will take some time to open the details sir please l request you sir consider the problem sir, thank you sir

    I being your kind notice that my sole son Allada Santhi Sai is studying First Standard in GBEM School, Ichapuram within Srikakulam District. That my ADHAR Card No. (A. Parvati mother & Bank Account No. , Andhra Bank Ichapuram Branch and its IFSC ANDB0000755. Though my son is eligible for Ammavodi Scheme. His name was not enrolled. Kindly do needful justice sir to enrolled my son Name accordingly in the forthcoming list to meet the ends of justice to my family..
