AICTE Swanath Scholarship Online Registration Process

The All India Council of Technical Education is inviting online applications for the Swanath Scholarship. The AICTE will sponsor much of their studies in an approved institution for either a Degree or a Diploma Course. The council will offer assistance of Rs. 50,000 per year to the eligible candidates. Interested applicants must apply for the scheme before 31 December 2021.

AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2023: Online Application Form

AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2023: Online Application Form PDF Download – AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021-22 is a scholarship scheme that has been introduced by the All-India Council for Technical Education i.e., AICTE. By starting the Swanath Scholarship, AICTE desire to help all those students who are not able to pursue their higher studies due to their financial crises. Children who are orphans, or who are offspring of Shaheeds, or whose both or one of their parents has died as a result of COVID19 spread are eligible for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021-22.

Candidates studying for a degree or diploma degrees in institutes and courses recognized by the government from AICTE Swanath Scholarship Scheme 2023 are also eligible to apply. The main purpose of starting this AICTE Swanath Scholarship by the government is to allow the students to study further and prepare for a successful future through education.

Eligibility of Scholarship

1) The candidate should be from any one of the following categories:
(i) Orphan
(ii) Either or both parents died due to Covid-19
(iii) Wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action (Shaheed)

2) Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh per annum during the financial year of the application. A valid income certificate issued by State/UT Government is to be enclosed.

3) The candidate should be currently studying in the AICTE Approved institutions and courses at Degree/ Diploma level in regular mode.

4) The candidate should NOT be a Recipient of any of the Central Govt. / State Govt. / AICTE Sponsored scholarships.

Selection Procedure for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021-22

The Selection for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2021-22 for degree and the diploma are based on the following points:

  1. For degree program
  • Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the 12th class examination
  • In the event of a tie between the two candidates, the candidate with the older age will be given the higher status.
  • If the age requirements do not work to break the tie, the family’s annual income will be used to break the tie. Families with a lower annual family income will be given a higher ranking.
  1. For diploma program
  • Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the 10th class examination
  • In the event of a tie between the two candidates, the candidate with the older age will be given the higher status.
  • If the age requirements do not work to break the tie, the family’s annual income will be used to break the tie. Families with a lower annual family income will be given a higher ranking

Swanath Scholarship Amount

The AICTE will award scholarships worth Rs. 50,000 per month. Students can apply for the scholarship during any year of study. Candidates in 1st year of the Degree course will get 4 years of assistance and those in the 2nd year will receive monetary funds from this scholarship for 3 years and so on. In the case of Diplomas, the 1st year students will get the scholarship amount for 3 years while 2nd-year students will get it for 12 years and so on. The years of the reception of the scholarship award entirely depend upon the duration of the course. However, no extra amount will be awarded to students for medical or hostel expenses. The amount will be directly disbursed into the registered account of the applicant.

Number of Scholarship

Under this scheme scholarships will be awarded to 2000 students out of which 1000 scholarships are for degree students and the other 1000 for diploma students.

Mode of Payment

Selected beneficiaries will get the scholarship amount directly in their bank account through DBT mode on annual basis.

Renewals

  • The scholarship will be renewed for the next year of study on receipt of renewal through NSP by submitting a promotion from the Head of the Institution on the NSP portal.
  • Students failing to get promoted to the next class/ level or those who are not applying in time for the scholarship would forfeit the scholarship.

There are two types of scholarship under AICTE Swanath Scholarship which are as follows:-

  • AICTE – SWANATH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (TECHNICAL DIPLOMA)

  • Candidates whose either or both Parents Died due to Covid-19:
    • Death Certificate of Father/Mother or both explicitly mentioning that the death was due to Covid-19.
    • If one parent (Father or Mother) is alive, current year income certificate explicitly mentioning that income of family less than 8 Lakh.
