YSR Abhaya Hastham Telangana 2022: Pension/Insurance Scheme Registration Form

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Telangana state
• Only one person from one family can apply for the scheme.
• The applicant must be of 60 years of age.
• The SHG should recommend the case of the member and certify the age of the member through a resolution
• The applicant must belong to below the poverty line category household.
• The applicant must have a white ration card.
• Should be a currently active SHG member and been a member for at least a year (SHG member by 1/06/2009) subsequently the age has been limited to the member not crossing 50 years.
• The member of SHG will contribute Rs 1 daily for the beneficiaries, and at the same time, the government will pay Rs 1 daily for the contributing member.
• The applicant must be an active SHG member
• The applicant must have been a member for at least a year.

This scheme works in the principle of contribution amount Rs. 365 per annum by the SHG woman and Government co-contribution amount Rs. 365 per annum into her pension amount. The interest earned from corpus generated for each member till the completion of 60 years of her age is used for giving monthly pension from Rs. 500 to Rs. 2200 based on the age of the member. Each enrolled member under the scheme is entitled to get a minimum pension of Rs. 500 after completion of 60 years of her age and all the enrolled members between the age group of 18 to 59 years are eligible to get Insurance coverage under the JBY scheme.

The main purpose of this scheme is to provide scholarships to the children of women who are studying in the family before the age of 60. In case of a tragic incident like death, a certain amount of insurance is provided to the family.

1. Each member would become eligible for a minimum monthly pension of Rs. 500 or above, subject to fulfillment of conditions to be prescribed, on crossing the 60 years of age, depending on the number of years of contribution and quantum of the contribution made by the member.
2. All women between 18 to 59 years would be eligible for life insurance cover up to
   1. A sum of Rs. 30,000 in case of natural death
   2. Rs. 75,000 in case of Accidental death
   3. Rs. 75,000 for permanent disability
   4. Rs. 37,500 for partial disability
   5. Scholarship of Rs. 1200 per annum for their children, studying 9th, 10th classes, intermediate and Industrial Technical Institute (ITI).
   6. Members who are already receiving scholarships for their kids from LIC under any other scheme would not be eligible for receiving this scholarship.
3. If the subscriber has died before the age of 59 years, then the earning and insurance will be transferred to the nominee of the victim.
4. If the subscriber has died after the age of 60 years, then the remaining contribution will be transferred to the nominee.

• State Finance Secretary and Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Secretary will be the members of the committee.
• The committee will review the functioning of the Abhaya Hastham and also the Vaddi Leni Runalu (Interest-free loans ) to the women groups.
• Based on the recommendations, the government will take a decision on the implementation of the two schemes.
• More than one lakh women have been paying their contribution every month under the pension scheme.
• Many of them crossed the age of 60 years and the demand for a pension.
• District authorities will finalize the list based on the data furnished by the government.
